I first approached K&G Solicitors when I was trying to appeal my Discretionary Further Leave to Remain extension refusal. I had come to the UK ever since I was an adolescent and had spent most of my grown up life in the UK and grew up with my foster family. I could not bear the thought that I would have to leave my foster family and the life that both my foster family and I had built for myself. I applied for both of my parents to come to the UK to stay with me as both myself and my brother were situated in the UK. We believed that it would be better for them to be in the UK with us so that we could take care of them. I applied to be a dependent of my husband who was on a Tier 4 General Student visa, but unfortunately because only some sponsor licences allow the sponsored student to bring dependents with them and my husband's sponsorship did not allow any dependents, it meant that I was unable to be with my own husband.
