Case Review

Miss X

I first approached K&G Solicitors when I was trying to appeal my Discretionary Further Leave to Remain extension refusal. I had come to the UK ever since I was an adolescent and had spent most of my grown up life in the UK and grew up with my foster family. I could not bear the thought that I would have to leave my foster family and the life that both my foster family and I had built for myself. K&G Solicitors took over my matter and handled my appeal matter and were able to exceed all my expectations. K&G Solicitors did not get me my Further Leave to Remain extension but were able to help me gain Indefinite Leave to Remain.

K&G Solicitors handled my case very well, keeping me up to date with my case matter at all times and I felt secure with the knowledge that they were dealing with my case and am extremely happy that I can continue with my life that I have created for myself and be with my foster family.

Ms Li

I was having problem with my Tier 1 Entrepreneur application as it had been refused and therefore I enlisted the help of K&G Solicitors to deal with my appeal. This has proven to be a wise decision as it appears that not only did they handle the case professionally and kept me up to date, but K&G were also able to provide me with a positive result. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend K&G Solicitors to anyone seeking legal advice.

Mr Y C

I was having problems with my Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa application as it had been refused. I approached K&G Solicitors with my matter and they took on my case willingly. I felt that my case was quite difficult but K&G Solicitors took away my worries and handled it extremely well. They explained the matter to me step-by-step and explained how they would proceed. The level of attention and dedication that K&G had towards my case meant that my appeal succeeded and my visa was granted and I was able to continue building my business. Giving my case to K&G Solicitors to deal with lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and I am glad that I let them handle my case as the whole procedure was simple and the result even better!

Dan

I had applied for my Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa and was refused as the Home Office stated that there was a lack of evidence that I was running a genuine business. It was extremely stressful for me as I was trying to start up my business and this was one of the stresses that I did not need. I contacted K&G Solicitors and let them handle my case and was very glad that I did. Not only were they very professional and proficient, they were experts in the field of immigration matters. The matters were solved and K&G Solicitors enabled me to carry on my business without worries and I was able to stay in the UK to let my business grow.

Mrs Liao

I applied for both of my parents to come to the UK to stay with me as both myself and my brother were situated in the UK. We believed that it would be better for them to be in the UK with us so that we could take care of them. Our initial application was rejected and when we gave the case to K&G Solicitors and the case appeared as though our odds were set against us as it is extremely rare that the Home Office issue a visa for adult dependent relatives; as I understand, there are a lot of points that need to be proven and explained, for example, why it is not possible to simply hire a professional carer or send money back to my parents. As soon as K&G Solicitors took on my case, they were very thorough and looked at the case from all angles and were able to plan and execute a successful outcome. K&G Solicitors considered my matters carefully and advised me wisely and worked with me through the difficulties in trying to reunite my family. In the end, their expertise in this area shone through and I was able to have my parents here with me.

Ms Gao

I approached K&G Solicitors 3 years ago for them to deal with my initial application for a Tier 1 Investor visa. I was faced with difficulties as I needed to provide evidence of the source of income. Under K&G Solicitors advice and guidance I was available to obtain the evidence that the Home Office required and successfully granted the visa. 3 years later, K&G Solicitors also assisted me in my application for an extension and this was successfully granted to me within 4 weeks.

Miss L

I applied to be a dependent of my husband who was on a Tier 4 General Student visa, but unfortunately because only some sponsor licences allow the sponsored student to bring dependents with them and my husband's sponsorship did not allow any dependents, it meant that I was unable to be with my own husband. This was a terrible blow as I already had a job and my husband and I are a family. I sought help from K&G Solicitors and they were able to help me successfully. K&G Solicitors argued that on the basis of human rights, I should not be kept away from my own husband. The case was successful after tribunal.

Mr Kai

As Kang Kai's mother, I was heartbroken that his application to join me was refused. This was because Kang Kai's father was still supposed to pay child maintenance towards Kang Kai's upbringing although he had not done so for a while. I had full custody of my son, but because of his father's responsibility to pay child maintenance, the UK did not recognize that I had full custody and responsibility for my son. It was very difficult but K&G Solicitors managed to assist me in my appeal and were successful when they put forward an argument containing immigration rules and human rights.
